The Changing Cube resource pack has to be one of the most impressive resource packs for Minecraft as it has been around for almost five years and even today is still up to date and stands shoulder to shoulder with similar resource packs. This pack is meant to fix the vanilla look of Minecraft, in order to give it a more futuristic feel. This package originally came from the Cube, Inc. Resource Pack and was designed specifically for Cube, Inc. mapping, but since its release it has received quite a few updates that make it unique.
It's worth mentioning that the Altered Cube resource pack doesn't really look cohesive, and that's mostly because the pack doesn't use a single art style, but rather a mix of different art styles. Luckily, even with this different art style, the packaging looks really high quality and that's because the textures have crazy detail in them and bugs are almost non-existent. The pack also uses a bright and vibrant color palette that helps bring textures to life.
It's important to remember that the Altered Cube resource pack only works with Minecraft 1.8, which is why you may need to upgrade or downgrade the Minecraft client to use it. The resolution of this pack is x16, so even if you play Minecraft on a PC with outdated hardware, it's unlikely that you won't run at a stable frame rate.
