As part of the Holiday event update, Frozen Abyss is the unlimited mode set to hard difficulty. It allows you to play solo or with other players, making it the best place to farm Holiday Stars, but you must be at least level 15 to play it.
The most useful units for farming Holiday Stars are those with efficient AoE damage. Use holiday skins for the units you own for significant damage buffs and improved drop chances. You'll get skins by using Holiday Stars in Summons. There is always a chance to get some free via Anime Adventures codes.
