It's almost hard to believe, but this texture pack from Misa is the first real texture pack. It caused a real sensation at the time, and you even needed to install an extra program called MCPatcher. At that time there was no other way to install realistic texture packs. Today, "Minecraft" even supports 2048x texture packs.
Instead, the developers recommend installing OptiFine and a shader grass. This mod adds realistic shiny blocks. For example, surface shading maps can be used for grass, TNT, anvils, etc. There are also many 3D blocks. More similar features will be added to Misa's photorealistic texture pack in the future. Eventually, she stopped development and disappeared from the Minecraft community in 2015. She leaves behind many followers who eagerly await new updates.
Some time passed until three fans decided to take over development. They release their own fan patches regularly, from version 1.9 to 1.15, ensuring that resource packs are always up to date. Therefore, you can download Misa's Realistic resource pack in all versions of Minecraft.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Misa came back and restarted the development of new materials. She lost her job in 2020, and this resource package became her hope for a stable income. Her plan worked, and she spent 40 hours a week working on the texture pack.
Everything is free thanks to Patreon and PayPal supporters. Many players like this resource pack very much and are willing to pay for it. This is a great thing. Otherwise, updates wouldn't be released so regularly.

This texture pack relies on several advanced features introduced by MCPatcher. Since MCPatcher is no longer in development, Optifine is now required to use this resource pack correctly. Emphasis on realism without being too photographic - materials are designed to make sense and resemble the components they are made from.
