By default, units in SpongeBob Tower Defense come with no traits and only with base stats. So, to make them stronger, it's recommended that one of the eight traits be applied to them. In this guide, we'll provide you with a tier list of all traits in the game, including tips on how to reroll them.
Traits in SpongeBob TD are an excellent way to upgrade units and make them more useful. This is especially important as you can get plenty of rewards by unlocking achievements for each unit. You must play with even the worst units to get Magic Conch, Gems, Coins, and more. That's where Traits help you, especially if you need to get the best ones.

If you can get one of these traits for any of your mythic units, this will be the most powerful combo in the game. Of course, you can't put both on a single unit, so spread them between two of your strongest towers.

While damage and speed should be at the top of your priority list when rerolling for traits, upgrade cost and range will be just as important.

Getting top-tier traits is very hard; you'd have to get many Trait Rerolls. But if you get one of these alternatives, you can be happy, as they'll be quite useful.

The following traits will drop most often, so you can freely change them for something better, as their buffs are insignificant. Keep them only at the start of the game, and as soon as you can reroll again, don't hesitate to replace them.

Traits from the D-tier are almost useless, considering better options you can easily get. While you can leave those traits for the cheapest units, reroll ASAP for everyone Rare and above. These traits are Reach I, Reach II, Reach III (inferior range trait compared to others), and Surge I (slight damage increase is valuable only for lesser units.).
