Best Location to Farm Money in Fisch

The Depths is home to some of the most valuable fish in the game, including Mythical and Exotic species that fetch up to 6,000 C$. With the right setup, you can fill your pockets in no time. Getting down to The Depths is the hardest part - after that, you can stay put and fish for as long as you want.

1. Locate a Strange Whirlpool. Look for whirlpools with a line stretching from the surface to the sky. Swim into its center to reach Vertigo.
2. Complete the Vertigo Bestiary. Catch every fish in Vertigo to achieve 100% completion. You cannot access The Depths without doing this.
3. Fish for The Depths Key. These Exotic keys can be found in Strange Whirlpools or Vertigo. Use the Steady Rod with a luck-based Enchantment to make reeling them in easier. It shouldn't take you any longer than half an hour to reel one in. If you're struggling, remember that The Depths Key is attracted to Magnet bait.
4. Unlock the Door. Head to the cliff with the red crystals in Vertigo to find the large door that leads to The Depths. Speak to the NPC next to it twice - once to listen to their spiel about The Depths, and a second time for them to realize you have a key.

The below fish are the best ones to aim for when fishing in The Depths. You'll want to ensure that you travel down to The Depths with a surplus of the bait listed in this table - particularly the Truffle Worms for the Ancient Depth Serpent. Of course, you'll need to wait for an Absolute Darkness event to catch an Ancient Depth Serpent, but the wait is worth it if you can catch a couple during the 10-minute event.

You can catch all of these fish anywhere in The Depths - except the Ancient Depths Serpent, which can only be caught in one specific area during each Absolute Darkness Event.

Best Rods for The Depths

If you want the best chance of catching the fish above, you'll need a fishing rod that has a decent Luck stat. In Fisch, Luck increases your chances of catching rarer fish. Combined with the right bait, you shouldn't struggle too much to catch any fish unless they're particularly resistant. The Ancient Depth Serpent, for example, does -60% to your progress speed when you're catching it.
