A Universal Time Valentine’s Day Update 4.4 guide

A Universal Time 2025 Valentine’s Day update brings many things to the game, including new abilities, NPC, boss, skins, and more. In this guide, I will go over everything in this update and help you get all of them.

Valentine's Day event guide for AUT

Unlike some previous updates, there is no ongoing specific event. Instead, there are new abilities and items for you to collect.

How to get The Mercenaries ability

The main thing about his update is The Mercenaries ability, which is tricky to obtain. To get it, you first have to talk to Skaidev NPC and kill The Spy boss. After that, you have to collect seven specific items for Skaidev. When you do all that and speak to Skaidev, you will automatically get The Mercenaries ability.

Skaidev NPC location

To find Skaidev, you have to go towards the river from the starting area and cross the mountains to go to the other side, on the desert. When there, keep going straight until you come across Alabasta, and here you will find the new NPC, Skaidev. Talk to him to begin The Mercenaries ability quest.

The Spy Boss location

Once you start the quest, it's time to find The Spy Boss, and he is located at the Floating Village. To reach there, head over to the soccer field on the right of the starting area and then go left when you get there. You will reach the village, past the waterfall, and here, The Spy boss will spawn every 20 minutes.

Once he spawns, you have to defeat him, or if you are fighting with others, you must deal at least 10% damage for it to count and reward you with drops. You only have to defeat this boss once for the quest, but you can defeat him again for the rewards.

How to get all The Mercenaries quest items

Lastly, for The Mercenaries ability, you have to get the following items: Flamethrower, Medic’s Equipment, Grenade Launcher, Eyelander, Chargin’ Targe, Rocket Launcher, and Knife. All of these items are random drops from the chest you collect after defeating random enemies.

This means that you will have to grind some to get all of them. Furthermore, The Spy boss has a 20% chance to drop each of these items, but he spawns every 20 minutes, so you can not keep grinding him. Once you have all the needed items, put them in your inventory and talk to Skaidev to get The Mercenaries ability.

How to get Vampire Abilities

There are two Vampire abilities now, and getting both of them is different. First, we have the normal unique Vampire ability, which is obtained by using the Stone Mask while you are stateless. Once you have that, you have to get Vampirism Mastery by defeating Dio Brando and then using it while you have Vampire equipped to get the Dio Brando Vampire ability.

How to get all of the new Titles

There are four new titles, and here is how you can get them:

1. Bloodborn: To get this, you have to equip the base Vampire ability.
2. Bloodsight: This one is obtained by getting the Bloodsight III achievement.
3. Voidwalker: Then we have this title, which you can get by completing the Voidwalker III achievement.
4. Bloodfiend: Lastly, we have Bloodfiend, which you can get by completing the Bloodfiend III achievement.

How to get all of the new Skins

To get the Valentine skins, you have two different methods. Firstly, you can defeat Whitebeard and The Spy bosses to get their legendary chests that have a chance to drop these skins. Secondly, you can purchase these or exclusive skins from the AUT Premium Shop.
