Blox Fruits: Recreation was a popular Roblox game inspired by Blox Fruits, and it had a lot of players enjoying the familiar gameplay. But then, out of nowhere, it completely vanished from the platform. If you were one of the players wondering what happened, you're not alone. Here's what went down and what might happen next.
Blox Fruits Recreation was taken down due to a copyright claim from Gamer Robot, the developers of Blox Fruits.
If you're familiar with Roblox copy games, you probably know that a lot of them don’t last long—especially when they use assets directly from another game. That’s exactly what happened here.
Even though the developers of Blox Fruits: Recreation acknowledged in their game description that everything was from Blox Fruits, that doesn't change the fact that they didn't create those assets themselves. Just because you credit the original creators doesn’t mean you have permission to use their work.
When an experience gets taken down, developers usually have a few choices:
From what’s been said by the Blox Fruits Recreation team, there seems to be some conflicting information. The co-owner and head developer of Blox Fruits: Recreation Discord named Rat first stated:
The Blox Fruits Recreation Roblox Group also posted a shout from one of the developers, stating:
However, there's been more information since the first messages. The head developer Rat has stated that they will make new projects, while the community manager expressed their condolences to the game, saying:
It doesn't seem that they are losing hope just yet though, as they have posted a link to their new Discord server named Blox Studio, as well as a warning not to play any impersonators as they didn't release the game yet (a little ironic since Blox Fruits: Recreation could also be considered an impersonator of Blox Fruits).
Looking at how other Roblox copy games have handled similar situations, there are a couple of possibilities:
A good example is Project Polaro, a Pokémon-inspired Roblox game. That game was taken down multiple times, but the developers kept bringing it back. If Blox Fruits Recreation follows the same pattern, expect it to keep coming back—until it gets permanently banned or the developers move on.
If the developers continue using Blox Fruits’ assets, then no—it’s just a matter of time before it gets removed again. The only way to make sure the game stays up is to create original assets and mechanics.
So if you’re waiting for Blox Fruits Recreation to come back, keep an eye on their Roblox group, Discord, or any other official channels. But be prepared for it to disappear again at any moment. That’s just how it goes with Roblox copy games.
