To get the Lancer sword in Verse Piece, you'll need to get at least one Gae Bolg material, which is a drop from the Lancer Boss, and use it in your inventory. The boss spawns every 10 minutes at a random island on the map and has 20,000,000 HP.
The chances of getting the Gae Bolg are fairly low, and the Lancer's Loot chest it drops is shared for the whole server. So, there is no real benefit in killing it with more people unless you struggle to kill it alone. The best tactic is to farm it on a solo server, actually.
